When love is viewed as a verb, its focus is on giving not receiving.
Patience with others is Love; patience with self is Hope; and patience with God is Faith.
To love someone deeply gives you strength. Being loved by someone deeply gives you courage.

HEARTPRINTS
Whatever our hands touch, we leave fingerprints!
On walls, on furniture, on doorknobs, dishes, books.
There’s no escape. As we touch, we leave our identity.
Oh God, wherever I go today help me leave heartprints!
Heartprints of compassion, of understanding and love.
Heartprints of kindness and genuine concern.
May my heart touch a lonely neighbor,
Or a heart-broken daughter,
Or an anxious mother,
Or perhaps an aged grandfather.
Lord, send me out today to leave heartprints.

One day at work, Amanda received a beautiful flower bouquet. In it, she counted eleven flowers and found a short note in it. It was written in beautiful lettering and said:
“My love for you will last until the day the last flower in this bouquet dies.”
The note was from her husband, who had gone on a business trip. Unsure as to what to make of the message, she went home in the evening and soaked the flowers with water.
One day after another, the flowers became a little less beautiful until they all died…all but one flower.
This was the day when she realized that there was one artificial flower in the bouquet that would last forever.
