SPRING HAS SPRUNG!
It’s that time of year when the first flowers of Spring emerge and say “Hello” as they decide to end their long winter sleep. How do they know it is time to appear?
Perhaps they realize the ground is no longer frozen, as the warmth of sunshine is pushing the temperatures into the seventies. Or, perhaps they hear the songs of the birds singing that Spring has arrived, announcing that it is time for the world to awaken again. Or, maybe the trees whisper that it is now safe to emerge…along with realizing their own limbs are budding out as well.
Whatever the reason, it is a time of joy as the emerging flowers soak up the light and call out to other fellow flowers to join the celebration of life once again. We’ll soon be seeing daffodils, tulips, blue bonnets…and yes, the dandelions! Butterflies will join in the dance, as meadows of growing grass and budding forests emerge with bright, green leaves.
We are also part of that creation. Yet, unlike the flowers, we are able to bloom even when the world around us is cold, dark, and harsh. We can find beauty amongst the ugliness; we can express joy even in the midst of fear…love in the face of hate. We are able to make every day feel like the first day of Spring…we just need to press the “want to” button!
“Bloom” well today and always. Shine your light and share your love. Be truly alive in the glory of God’s creation. Make it a point to forever make our Heavenly Father smile!

Let my teaching fall on you like rain; let my speech settle like dew. Let my words fall like rain on tender grass, like gentle showers on young plants. Deuteronomy 32:2 NLT

Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know Him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring. Hosea 6:3 NLT
