Being “CONFORMED” to the world around us may be defined as striving to change one’s behavior by agreeing with current socially acceptable conventions and standards and by attempting to become more and more like those who are influential in that world, as we adjust our acceptance of their thoughts, words and actions.

When we are “TRANSFORMED” from the world around us, we make a thorough and/or dramatic change in how we think and act, and are renewed and renovated by what the Lord teaches and shows us through the reading and believing of His Word.

God wrote His name on you when you gave your life to Jesus Christ. He has given you gifts and abilities. He has invested Himself in you. That is where your value comes from. And that’s why you can make a difference.

“The same grace that helps us say ‘Yes’ to Christ helps us say ‘No’ to the world.” -Dr. David Jeremiah, The Upward Call

“There was no identity crisis in the life of Jesus Christ. He knew who He was. He knew where He had come from, and why He was here. And He knew where He was going. And when you are that liberated, then you can serve.” -Howard Hendricks

“Trying times can make us feel insecure, but our security isn’t found in our culture but in our Savior. We have a Savior who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He doesn’t change, and His tender mercies are new every morning. His promises cannot fail. His truth is immutable and His love is inexhaustible.” - Dr. David Jeremiah

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8

In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. Proverbs 16:9

A Christian is a person who makes it easy for others to believe in God.

Hope is seeing a light at the end of the tunnel; faith is believing it is not a train.
